Cara Dinley – Associate Producer

Cara has enjoyed a broad experience onstage and as a director and choreographer in professional theatre.  Her arts background, supplemented by corporate, retail and touring event management practise is a perfect fit for her Associate Producer role with The Adam Lowe Group and Midsumma. Cara worked on the recent Melbourne production of ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blokes’ and will drive further development of the ALG and Midsumma web identity.  Utilising the extensive functionality of the Midsumma CRM Cara looks forward to enabling more streamlined operations while solidifying the overall record keeping system. These changes will also enhance Midsumma member management and provide detailed reports to assist in more pointed Marketing campaigns. Crafting a strong 2012 program and the creation of Standard Operating Procedure documentation will be her main focus for 2012.

 

Tom Lambert – Ticketing & Administration

Tom comes to the Adam Lowe Group from a history of performance.Born in Geelong he studied Dance through Peter Dickinson before entering the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) in 1998. After completing, Tom went on to study at the VCA graduating with a Bachelor of Dance. While studying Tom spent time at the Australian Choreographic Centre learning aerial dance from Janine Ayres.Life after University saw Tom tour and perform in the Australian and New Zealand tour of Fiddler on the Roof with Topol. After coming back to Melbourne, he got the opportunity to work with ALG on the 1st Asia Pacific Outgames, where he became a full time employee mid 2008. Tom’s role varies from client to client to include Assistant Company Manager for The Production Company (2008-11), Volunteer Coordinator/Ticketing Manager for Midsumma Festival (2009-11), Ticketing Manager for Festivals; Australian Shakespeare Festival, Festival of Broadway, University of Tasmainia’s Conservatorium of Music (2010), and Melbourne Cabaret Festival (2011).

 

Paul Yarnall – Production Coordinator

Paul previously trained and worked in Sydney in both the theatre and events fields, working in stage management capacities on events such as Australia Day in Hyde Park, The Sydney Festival and the Mardi Gras Parade. In his role as Production Coordinator for ALG, Paul oversees the production management and technical management for a number of projects including the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, Pride March and The Midsumma Festival. Paul is responsible for budget development, risk management, council and stakeholder liaison, contractor & supplier management and production scheduling, as well as stage management.

 

Monique Thorpe – Administration

Monique joined the team after volunteering with Midsumma in 2010/11. Having completed a Bachelor of Business at Victoria University (double major Event Management and Music Industry) Monique has great experience and knowledge of the Melbourne arts and entertainment world. Coming to Midsumma from the Graduate Student Association at the University of Melbourne, where her position included marketing, publication editing, customer relationship management and event management. This experience, supplemented with over five years of hospitality management and her current academic undertaking (Masters of Law, Juris Doctor), provides Monique with a well-rounded skill set. Monique works as the Midsumma Festival Administrator.
